It all depends on how you say it…

It all depends on how you say it…
Copyright Phil Basten

The two young reporters were exhausted. It had been an extremely busy news week. Long hours, messy investigations, gut wrenching interviews. They were ready for some R&R at a local bar.

Sam, the older of the two, suggested a bar he knew, and the two friends set off, eager to leave their fast-filling inboxes for another day.

They chose a table in a quiet corner, and Sam proceeded to the counter to order couple of beers. $6.70 grumbled the big surly man behind the bar. Sam laid $7.00 on the bar. The big man snatched it off the counter, opened the till, came back and slammed the change down on the counter, muttering bluntly, “Anything else?”

No thank you, said Sam, have a nice day.

His friend Paul, watched the exchange closely, and when Sam returned to the table, he looked at Sam, with a somewhat puzzled expression, and said, “Is he always that rude?”

“Yes, said Sam, I’m afraid he is.”

“And, do you usually respond the way you did?” asked Paul.

“Yes, I do”, said Sam firmly.

“How can you do that?” said Paul inquisitively. “People like that don’t deserve a civil response.”

“Simple,” said Sam. “I don’t want him to decide how I’m going to act.”

How many times do you blame others for your lack of success?

- How many times do you say, “I can’t?”
- How many times do you say, “I’m not as lucky as others?”
- How many times do you say, “If only this or that?”
- How many times do you say, “it’s their fault!”

What you say affects the way people respond to you. It makes no difference whether it’s spoken or written.

If you are not successful yet, I have good news for you. You still can be. It’s your choice. It’s up to you and no one else.

As a good friend of mine, Stirling Valentine, often says, “If it’s meant to be, It’s up to me.”

What do I mean by this?

Let me illustrate this by using an example we are all familiar with. Making money online.

Advertising is salesmanship in print.

Don’t know anything about salesmanship? Don’t know how to sell? Go read and study until you are the best sales person you can be.

- When was the last time you read a motivational book?
- When was the last time you listed to a CD on salesmanship?
- When was the last time you read a report on direct selling?

If a friend or colleague was in need of brain surgery, you wouldn’t operate on them unless you had studied brain surgery for many years. You wouldn’t say, “I think I can do that,” would you? Your friends life may hang in the balance.

We’ll you have a friend in need too.

Their need is immediate and critical. They need a cash infusion desperately so they can provide for their family.

That friend is you.

What will you do?

Will you struggle on, and do what you have always done? Will you say, “I Think I can write a good sales letter?” Your life and your families future hangs in the balance.

Or will you take action right now, study how to be the best sales person you can be, write that compelling sales letter, and watch your profits soar?

What action are you prepared to take?

Words, thoughts, and actions matter.

Negative words and thoughts, produce negative actions and results.
Positive words and thoughts, produce positive actions and results.

Prove it for yourself…

Write an advertisement for a product or service you want to sell. Think about the things you really like about the product or service and tell others about it.

Be positive and be honest when you write. That way your email offer will get past most people’s in-built BS detector.

Next, re-read your offer. Does it tell the product’s story? Does your offer excite you? Does what you say ring true?

If your offer doesn’t inspire you, chances are it won’t inspire others either. Rewrite the parts that leave you flat.

If your offer does inspire you, great. Go to http://freeaddepot.com/ join as a free member, and order a mailing to our responsive members database. You can reach up to 25,000 members at their contact email addresses.

Send your offer out to our members. You could be pleasantly surprised.

It all depends on how you say it.

The words you use, and the actions you take often make all the difference in the world.

What action will you take, now?

Have a great week.

Jealousy and Foolishness- A Lethal Combination…

I have been watching a lot of hoo ha on the net which is making my jaw drop.

It led me to one conclusion. Jealousy and Foolishness are a lethal combination.

What am I talking about?:

I am talking about Mike Filsaime’s recent launch of a superb product called viral Friend.

If you don’t know what I am talking about you can see it here…

http://jmmarketinglive.com/recommends/ViralFriend

Here is what I see taking place around the net.

A lot of yack yack by people who either haven’t bought or tried the product, don’t know what they are talking about, or they are trying to pawn off some free version of the software and pretend it will work.

Phil and I bought Viral Friend and installed it and have it working on our websites so while others are yackity yacking, we are making money.

Jealousy of someone else’s success on the net, is pure insanity because someone else’s success can help you earn as well.

Don’t be a green eyed monster, it will get you nowhere.

Now here’s some more pure foolishness in action.

Phil and I are offering 20.000 free advertising credits that come along with this product.

The value is 197.00. More than double the cost of the product. We sometimes do this when we really like a product, and we want to ad value to it and make your decision to get it much easier.

In the case of Viral Friend, even if you cannot use the product, or even if you bought into all the noise on the net from those who say you can get the same product for free, (utter nonsense), you will still benefit from the FAD 20,000 free credits.

Phil and I have known Mike Filsaime since the first days he started on the net. He always over delivers and produces quality products. For some reason that seems to bring out the green eyed monsters in full force.

I dislike jealousy. It’s a monster that will eat you up, spit you out, and produce nothing in the end.

And who was it that said… “Do Not Suffer Fools Gladly.”

If you want to use this superb traffic builder, and get 20000 Free FAD credits at the same time, don’t be a fool, or join the choir of dissent.” Be smart and grab a copy of this great product. Many of our members already have and we have not heard one negative comment to date. We love it.

Hey, It’s only Saturday, and I know it sounds like my Sunday sermon:) So here is it one day early.

Jealousy and Foolishness are a lethal combination. Throw them overboard and come on board today…

People should be born with 2 heads…

People should be born with 2 heads. I am convinced that having just one just isn’t sufficient in many cases.

Let me give you some examples…

1. Signing up to programs:

Many people signup to a program, misspell their email address, or it ends with something like yahoo.com.com, and then complain when they don’t get their validation email or welcome email.

Frankly they could wait until their beard hits the floor, but it is highly unlikely they won’t receive these emails. I think another head might solve this problem and help them to show more care.

2. Promoting programs:

It never ceases to amaze me how many people signup to our programs to (a) advertise their sites, and (b) promote their affiliate site so they can earn commissions, but either forget, or don’t bother to log into their account and enter their payment details so we can pay them
commissions. It flat out doesn’t make sense to me. It’s the very first thing I do when I join a program. I think being born with a second head might correct this problem.

3. Multiple income streams:

Many programs these days allow you to enter your ID’s for other programs in your members area. It’s called synergy advertising or multiple stream advertising. You promote one url and you can earn income from multiple programs. But again, many people fail to enter their ID’s when they join these programs, and complain when their sponsor gets the credit and the sales. It doesn’t make good business sense to do this. Perhaps having a second head would help alert them to this dilemma.

Here are 3 programs that offer synergy or multiple ways to earn an income online.

4. Vague cries for help:

Many people contact us for help and support but either fail to tell us what program they need help with, or their message is so devoid of content we are not sure what help they need. Just sending an email that says “I need help” is not sufficient. Sometimes I am tempted to respond with the name of a good psychiatrist.

If you need help, be specific. Mention the name of the program, include your full name and username for the program, and outline the exact details of the help you need. I am convinced a second head may help immensely here.

5. Common Courtesy

The internet is a strange place. Full of wonder, amazing things to see, join, and experience. It’s also a place filled with frustration, and a few down right nasty individuals who seem to take pleasure in yelling at, swearing at, or threatening the owner of a site when things go wrong.

Don’t do this: It will get you a bad name and banned from most sites. It may also adversely affect future partnerships you might want to strike up at some later point. Go punch your pillow instead, then come back and tell the owner or support person courteously what help you need.

The longer you work on the net, the more you begin to grasp that scripts, programs, and services don’t always work the way they should. Sometimes they give their owners migraines. Most owners are good business people who try to provide the best services and resources to their members. But it is an unfortunate fact that things don’t always go as planned. Perhaps a second head would help modify this personality disorder.

6. Selecting programs:

Most of us have a burning desire to succeed online and we look for programs to join we think will yield the best results. Some people are so frantic to earn a living they join every new fangled program that launches and end up with 20,50 or 100 sites to promote. This is a surefire way to go nuts but it’s not the best way to succeed online.

Focus is the key to success. You need to pick a few programs and focus all your efforts on these. Select programs that (a) have a product a large number of people need, (b) allow you to earn sizeable commissions, (c) have a high interest level and retention rate, and (d) have an upline sponsor you can contact by email for help.

To give you an idea of the type of program that meets the above criteria take a close look at this one. It’s a “No-Brainer.” http://w–o–w.com/?i=102411/jmblog

Don’t just jump into every program that comes along. It doesn’t make good business sense. I am convinced that a second head would persuade you of this.

There is no doubt in my mind that 2 heads are better than one. If you weren’t lucky enough to be born with a second head to mull things over with, you can always consult with with an online business partner or friend :-)

Have a great week
